Stria is currently focused on developing its Pontax property located in a lithium-rich region – also known as the “Canadian lithium triangle” – near James Bay in northern Quebec. The area is one of only a few known potential sources of lithium from hardrock mining in North America, and is considered one of the most endowed lithium terranes in the world, even though only minimal modern exploration has been undertaken over the past 20 years.

The Pontax Advantage is the property’s access to transportation and power.

Relative to most other lithium sites under development in the area – some are hundreds of kilometres from basic infrastructure — Stria’s Pontax property is one of the closest to abundant hydro-electricity and a major paved highway connecting the site to refineries in southern Quebec.

Pontax is also close to the only accommodation, food, and fuel on the James Bay Highway, and continues to provide comfortable living quarters for Stria’s crews working on the Pontax property. This has saved the company the substantial capital expense faced by other companies in having to construct and service a work camp.
